A pack of hyena’s have been denning at the camp and have been showing off their cubs to the camp guests. The wild dogs have also been denning in the mopane thickets and their 13 pups have been venturing out a little further everyday, much to the guests delight. The pups have been accompanying the adults on their hunting expeditions, learning how to stalk their prey – watching from a safe distance.
Selinda Camp is a luxury Botswana safari camp situated on the eastern banks of the Selinda Spillway – a prime wildlife location and a place of great scenic beauty. The camp is luxurious but has a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere – combining traditional design with contemporary furnishings and fabrics. The tents have been built off the ground to make the most of the magnificent views over the marshes, rivers and floodplains. The bathrooms are spacious and with huge stone baths and antique showers. The rooms have antique writing desks and lounge furniture that reflects the eclectic style of the camp and the communal rooms are equally comfortable and cosy. The camp has some of the finest Botswana safari guides who will accompany you on traditional game drives, walking safaris and mekoro excursions. They are very friendly and are always willing to share their immense knowledge of this very special piece of African wilderness. The area surrounding the camp is beautiful and varied with dry grasslands and palm fringed islands that stretch as far as the eye can see. The vegetation is relatively flat and open so guests can view wildlife from a long way off.
A Botswana safari to Selinda Camp combines well with a Zambia safari to the South Luangwa. It also works well with a luxury beach holiday to Mauritius where you can relax and soak up some sun after an action packed safari.
