Did you know that at Victorian farmhouse, Bartholomeus Klip, in South Africa, you can try your hand at some cookery classes? Among the many exciting activities on offer at the luxuriously renovated house is a selection of exciting cookery courses ranging from pasta, sorbet and ice cream making to cooking with culinary legends and learning recipes passed down from the earliest days of the farm. There’s even a class where you can create your own delicious gourmet picnic and head off on a cycle ride into their Nature Reserve to enjoy it together. Louise and her team at the house demonstrate everything you’ll need to know to recreate these tasty dishes at home too.
The classes range from half a day lessons to a full day course. Generally they are tailor-made to suit your needs, but, if you’re unsure of what exactly you want, some classes are available predesigned. Everyone leaves the class with a set of easy to follow recipe cards and a Bartholomeus Klip apron as a fun souvenir!
