Feb 18th, 2013 by Michelle Wright
This year African Bush Camps have teamed up with Dr. Greg Rasmussen to offer guests a specialised Wild Dog Safari in Zimbabwe, one of our favourite African safari destinations. This is a must if you’re a interested in these unusual canines. You’ll be accompanied by Dr. Greg Rasmussen, a senior conservation biologist and research director of Painted Dog Conservation, as you journey right into the heart of Zimbabwe, tracking resident dog packs in Mana Pools National Park. You’ll also be able to visit the Painted Dog Educational and Rehabilitation Centre in Hwange National Park where you can learn even more about this unique species. The trip comprises stays at some of the finest Zimbabwean camps, including Somalisa Camp and Kanga Bush Camp.
Dr Greg Rasmussen has spent 24 years exclusively researching wild dog in Zimbabwe and other African countries. Back in 1992, he founded the Painted Dog Research Project and has conducted extensive research and observations. You’re definitely in excellent hands!
