Our Positive Impacts
Supporting local communities, conserving wildlife and preserving wild spaces are values that have guided us for over thirty years. Partnering with people who share our values is vital to achieving our goals. We prioritise working with properties that collaborate with local communities to address location-specific needs from education to anti-poaching, and who are committed to the conservation of the world’s wild places.
To support our mission, our team are committed to focussing on five key areas as we craft your personalised journeys around the world:

Africa: Ripple Effect
In Africa, we support Ripple Effect, a charity that was set up in the same year as ourselves. They have become highly expert in helping small scale African farmers to radically improve their farming techniques.
This involves working at “village level” over three to five years training people in composting and land improvement, crop and vegetable production and animal husbandry. Thousands of families have seen their household income improve dramatically so they can better feed and educate their children and transform their lives. With every African journey we arrange we make a donation to Ripple Effect.

Latin America: Awamaki
In Latin America, we support Awamaki, a Peruvian-based charity which connects Andean artisan weavers with global markets. With every journey we arrange to Latin America we make a donation to Awamaki.
For clients travelling to the Sacred Valley in Peru, we offer the opportunity to learn about the country’s rich textile heritage with one of Awamaki’s artisan leaders - a unique experience with a positive impact.

India: Wildlife SOS
In Asia, we support WildlifeSOS, an Indian-based wildlife conservation charity whose mission it is to create harmonious coexistence between humans and wildlife within India. With every journey we arrange to Asia, we make a donation to Wildlife SOS, 100% of which goes directly to the Kalandar Sloth Bear project.
UK: Northampton Saints Foundation
Through innovative and exciting programmes, the Northampton Saints Foundation, part of Northampton Rugby Football Club, uses the power of sport to educate, inspire and support young people in need.
Galapagos Conservation Trust
In Ecuador we support the Galapagos Conservation Trust (GCT), the only UK charity to focus solely on the conservation of the Galapagos Islands; one of the most unique, ecologically important, yet vulnerable areas in the world.
With every journey we arrange to the Galapagos, clients are offered a free one-year GCT-membership giving insight into first-hand conservation news from the islands!

Tusk
TUSK supports over fifty conservation programmes across twenty countries. To date they have helped to protect over seventy million hectares of land for over forty threatened species.
Cards from Africa
Cards from Africa provide opportunities for young people in Rwanda who have lost their parents to conflict or disease. Purchasing their creative artwork helps to empower the children to provide education, health, food and shelter for their brothers and sisters.
Pack for a Purpose
Pack for a Purpose is all built around making a positive impact in the communities you visit. The idea is to use a small amount of space in your luggage to pack supplies needed by community projects around the world. We are always thrilled to support any client interested in saving some space in their luggage for supplies needed by communities in the areas they are visiting. Whether this is directing them towards Pack for a Purpose, suggesting ideas or speaking with ground partners to see what is suitable.
