Santiago
Elegant architecture, exciting street performances and a world-class dining scene make Santiago a must-see. Kick off your Chilean adventure with a few nights in this lively capital to lend cultural context to the rest of your visit.

  • Explore the Lastarria district of Chile’s capital city, renowned as a trendy and vibrant mixture of bars, cafes and irresistible shops.

  • For art lovers, we recommend the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, which is crammed full of works by famous Chilean artists such as Luis Vargas Rosas.

  • A walk up the hills of either San Cristobal or Santa Lucia to be rewarded by excellent views of the city with an Andean backdrop.

  • Enjoy a private bicycle tour with a local guide who will detail both the city’s history and its modern day culture as you glide freely through the streets.
Days 4 - 8
Atacama
The Atacama Desert is a spectacularly colourful region of great canyons, spouting geysers, salt lakes and towering snow-capped volcanoes in the heart of northern Chile.

  • Gaze in awe at the kaleidoscopic colours and almost Martian landscapes of the Rainbow Valley, or visit the Valley of the Moon at sunset when the moonlight reflects off millions of salt crystals, illuminating this vast wind-sculpted series of rock formations.

  • Explore the mighty geysers of El Tatio at sunrise as they display their geothermal power by spouting magnificent columns of steam hundreds of feet into the sky.

  • Spot local wildlife, from vibrant flamingos, desert foxes and mighty condors, to llamas and dainty vicunas.
Days 9 - 11
Chilean Winelands
At the heart of Chilean wine country is the Colchagua Valley. Protected on all sides by mountains, the location is perfect for planting vineyards and orchards that flourish in the fertile soil.

  • Learn the intricacies of top-class Chilean wine production directly from the experts amongst the beautiful scenery of the mountains and valleys .

  • Set out on an exciting horseback experience along an ancient trail into the Andes, accompanied by an authentic Chilean huaso.

  • Enjoy a cooking lesson, learning about the best dishes to complement the taste of the local wine.

  • Unwind at the “Wine Spa”, where treatments are inspired by the landscape, and grapes are incorporated into the massages, facials, and body scrubs.
Days 15 - 20
Lake District
The Chilean Lake District is a lush and verdant region of dense and ancient forests, snow-capped volcanoes, tranquil glacial lakes and gushing rivers.

  • Paddleboard or canoe across a milky blue glacial lake or down the Liucura River, straight from the grounds of the hotel.

  • Take a hike to nearby volcanic cave and waterfalls. More adventurous guests may want to hike to the summit of the volcano.

  • Raft the grade III rapids of the nearby Trancura River, or have a more sedate day of fly fishing back on the Liucura River.

  • Soak your cares away and ease your aching limbs in one of the many thermal pools in the local area.

  • Take a helicopter tour around the crater of the active Villarrica Volcano. Heli-skiing is also possible during the winter.
Days 16 - 20
Southern Patagonia
Southern Patagonia is where you’ll find the iconic Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, with its stunningly blue lakes, dramatic jagged peaks and captivating wildlife. This is a paradise for hikers and photographers.

  • Hike the famous “W” trek through the heart of the national park and be rewarded by a breathtaking view of the iconic Towers of Paine. Or take a less strenuous route - you won’t be deprived of views whatever option you take.

  • Embark on a quest with an expert local guide to spot the elusive puma amidst stunning scenery. He will show you the wonders of the wildlife, landscape and culture of the area.

  • Go on an authentic Patagonian horse trek or learn about local life by spending time with gauchos, perhaps sharing their authentic local version of a BBQ, known as a “Quincho”.

  • Take a private catamaran direct to the French Valley trailhead, heading to the Grey Glacier.

  • Birdwatchers will revel in ticking off a potential 105 species, including the flightless Nandu bird (Darwin’s Rhea) and the bright red-headed Magellanic Woodpecker.

  • After a day of exploring, unwind in a heated pool, steaming sauna or open-air jacuzzi with exquisite views of the Paine River.
Days 20 - 24
Easter Island
See the famous 887 Moai heads and learn about the Rapa Nui civilization, which persists today after the island was settled by Polynesians after 700 AD. It’s a fascinating island of culture and beauty.

  • Discover unique locations and archeological sites around the island on hikes or mountain biking in the company of expert guides.

  • Explore the enigmatic and mysterious moai statues, quarries and ceremonial platforms.

  • Climb to the edge of the extinct volcano Rano Kau, which affords spectacular views over its crater lake, across the whole island, and also out over the Pacific.

  • Dive or snorkel in the crystal clear waters near Hango Roa’s cove with a chance to spot fish from 65 families, 25% of which are endemic to the area.

  • Finish the days relaxing in the pool or hot tub overlooking the Easter Island landscape, or enjoy a massage at the spa.
