Accommodation
Each of the five cottages are open fronted and constructed mainly of wood under a sweeping thatched roof, set on a raised platform with the finest elevated views across the river. Sink into a large comfy bed, read a good book in the living area, enjoy a powerful morning shower in the en-suite bathroom. A very spacious veranda at the front with chairs, tables and parasols provide a shady refuge from the hot sun.

There are also three suites, set apart from the cottages, each with a larger living area and private veranda into which is set a private plunge pool, a special touch to enhance your stunning surroundings.
The main building houses a lounge with comfortable chairs and magnificent views across the Rufiji, where you can relax and while away the hours and enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the adjacent dining lodge. Then, enjoy a delicious meal whilst looking out at the sun setting over the river, no need to think about tomorrow, it’s time to be in the present.

There are extensive areas of decking into which is set a large pool, spend a refreshing afternoon in the pool to relax and reminisce about the morning's adventure.

Nomad partners with The Hope Centre (Mugumu Village): A community focused project offering a refuge for young girls fleeing from female genital mutilation. Most of the girls only stay for a month or so, while the Hope Centre team works to reunite them with their parents. There are primary and secondary school aged girls, and others who are older and learning vocational skills in the centre.
Environment

Nomad sponsor eco-clubs throughout Tanzania giving students a practical exposure to environmental issues. The trips are also a wonderful platform for students to learn about their surrounding environment, inspiring them to learn more and take action in their own homes.
