Location

On the banks of the mighty Nile, the Winter Palace enjoys a superb location both in terms of views and proximity to historical sites, most notably Luxor Temple which is just 1km away.

Accommodation

Established in 1886, the Winter Palace Hotel is adorned with beautifully ornate architectural details that sit delicately alongside huge stone staircases. It feels authentically palatial here and the 86 rooms and six suites are no exception.

Decor within your room or suite will be classic and welcoming with warm colours and neat linens. Enormous windows let in the glorious Egyptian sunshine in abundance and make way for views of the hotel’s beautiful gardens or the River Nile.

In the mornings, take a relaxed breakfast out on your balcony as you prepare for a day exploring some of ancient Egypt’s most significant sites.

When you’re not stepping back in time to the land of the pharaohs, unwind by the pool in the shade of the palm trees or take a leisurely walk and lose yourself in the gardens.

The hotel has several restaurants for you to choose from, each serving equally delicious dishes. In 1886 you’ll find traditional French cuisine served in a sophisticated restaurant, its tables lit by flickering candlelight.

At Corniche you can enjoy international cuisines in elegant surroundings with wooden floors, crisp white tablecloths and tall windows lining the walls. You can eat outside too, if you choose, or in another of the bars or lounges.
