Send a Cow was set up the same year as ourselves and they have become highly expert in helping small scale African farmers to radically improve their farming techniques. This involves working at “village level” over three to five years training people in composting and land improvement, crop and vegetable production and animal husbandry. Thousands of families have seen their household income improve dramatically so they can better feed and educate their children and transform their lives. Africa Exclusive works closely with Send a Cow in Western Kenya.
Coincidentally the conservation charity TUSK was also set up around the same time as Africa Exclusive. The charity works closely with those involved in pioneering wildlife conservation programmes to amplify their impact. Through their involvement with conservation programmes in 20 countries they spread expertise, raise funds and provide advice. In this way they have improved the protection of over 10 million acres of land for over 40 threatened species.
Our regular clients will be used to receiving a Christmas card with their annual Africa Exclusive brochure. Each of these is handmade by a young Rwandan adult who has been orphaned by disease. Some of these young people’s lives also bear scars from the Rwandan genocide. The cardmakers work in a happy, healthy environment and each card is individually designed, crafted and signed by its originator.
