There is something truly visceral about such close connections with a species that has come so close to extinction.
Care for Wild is committed to the entire ecology of the local area with the understanding that rhinos are the keystone species driving the protection of this wilderness. Then, enjoy a scenic guided bush walk through the expansive 28,000-hectare sanctuary. Follow the river that winds through the landscape, a natural pathway for the semi-wild rhinos.
Next, head to the anti-poaching unit to witness a simulated track, offering a glimpse into the crucial efforts to protect wildlife. You'll meet the mounted unit and their horses, and explore the operations room where cutting-edge motion cameras and software are used to keep the resident rhinos safe.
