Zambia Rivers Para 1 Enjoy Boating In The Kafue River From Shumba Camp
The Kafue River
The Kafue River is clear and beautiful, meandering through the enormous Kafue National Park before joining the Zambezi. It floods large parts of the Park from November to April.

Then the waters recede leaving a magical land of floodplains filled with antelope and plains game. Tree climbing lions watch on from 'islands' of trees scattered across the plain.

Further south is a diversity of woodland plains and lagoons which supports a rich variety of wildlife and birds. Lion, leopard, cheetah, serval, caracal and African wildcat and among the cats you might see – and there are also packs of wild dog.
Para 2 Time Tide Luwi Hide
The Luangwa River
Through the June to early November dry season the Luangwa River is a long extravagantly winding lifeline for countless elephant, plains game, hippo and big cats which inhabit the Luangwa Valley.

It’s the setting for some of Africa’s best private walking and open vehicle safaris. We know superb little bushcamps like Tafika and Luwi which are so much part of the scenery that elephant sometimes wander through to join you at brunch.

The separate North Luangwa Park is so untouched that there are almost no vehicle tracks, so it’s walking only from Mwaleshi!
Para 3 Rafting Aerial Shot Emgatland
The Zambezi
The Zambezi is one of the world’s great rivers and we could arrange for you to follow it on your safari. You could start relaxing at Islands of Siankaba lodge midstream above Victoria Falls.

Then you could take a few days at the awesome waterfall enjoying rafting below and a helicopter or even microlight above the spectacle.

Heading east beyond Lake Kariba and the dam the Zambezi widens to half a mile between Lower Zambezi and Mana Pools National Parks. Both are filled with wildlife and provide amazing safaris by open vehicle, on foot and by boat and canoe.
