Great herds of elephants roam with a Kilimanjaro backdrop

Why Amboseli?
Amboseli is known for its large herds of elephants, using their trunks to cover themselves with red and ochre mineral dust before splashing into the water for a refreshing dip. The park is also brimming with giraffe, buffalo, kudu, mongoose, hyena and big cats including lion and leopard. It’s a great spot for birders, too, with flocks of flamingo stopping at Lake Amboseli during their migration – and they’re just one of 600 species of birds here.

Staying at small camps and lodges on private conservancies ensures privacy and exclusivity, providing unfettered access to the spectacular landscapes and impressive array of wildlife found in Amboseli National Park.
  • Dreamlike scenery flanked by Mount Kilimanjaro.
  • Varied habitats include wetlands, forest and grasslands.
  • One of the best places in Africa to watch elephants.
  • A paradise for birdwatching.
  • All of the ‘big five’ are here, including rhino thanks to the protection of private concessions.
  • Exclusive lodges provide privacy and thrilling activities.
