18 guests are accommodated in nine Island Villas each just steps from the beach and crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Enormous windows let in the breeze and the view, while coral block walls, makuti thatch, air conditioning and ceiling fans keep you cool by day. Furniture is crafted from indigenous teak and mahogany by local carpenters in the Creole Muani style; the main feature of the bedroom is a king-size bed draped in a romantic net which completes the African/Arabian luxury.
Villa Quilálea is the ultimate in beach luxury. Perched atop a cliff this huge villa has a separate lounge and dining area, a bedroom, en-suite bathroom and dressing area and an infinity pool with magnificent ocean views. If this is not enough then the villa also has its own alcove of the Indian Ocean reached by stepladder from the villa.
The excellent restaurant serving wonderful local seafood and lounge is just a short stroll through lush gardens from even the most distant villa. Set on a peninsula at the north end of the island, the restaurant offers beautiful ocean views to both the west and the east.
Quilálea offers a full range of diving experiences, from sheltered diving and snorkelling for the beginner to the big walls of the Montepuez Channel and the Saint Lazarus Bank for the more experienced and adventurous divers. Diving instruction is available and guides are provided for advanced divers. Fly fishing, surf casting, sport fishing, canoeing, island exploration, sailing, swimming and bird watching are all on offer, as are excursions to Ibo Island and tours and cultural visits to the mainland.
