Raised, open-walled suites immerse you straight into the heart of the bush at Kiba Point in Selous — Tanzania’s remote, rustic wonderland. As an exclusive-use camp, your family will be the only people here, giving you the chance to completely unwind and explore with the personal attention of staff and private guides.

Comprising just four suites, Kiba Point is intimate, while giving larger family groups their own space to unwind. One of the suites is complete with a children’s annex, so that you can keep your youngsters close. You’ll fall asleep and wake to the rhythm of nature, with no barrier between you and the wilderness beyond your veranda. Vast, king-sized beds form the centrepiece of your room, with natural wood décor throughout that keeps with the natural setting outside.

Activities are completely your own and you’ll have ample choices to fill your days. The game drives are tailored by age with encyclopaedic guides who will passionately show you the timeworn paths of elephant and zebra, while also pointing out the area’s many bird species. Should you choose to, you can enjoy a pitstop to the natural hot springs before lunch on the river bank, watching as crocs sunbathe on the opposite shore. Walking safaris are another excellent way to discover the bush up close, with your guides slipping you through the growth to secret waterholes filled with huge hippo pods.
