The camp itself has just five spacious tented rooms each built on a platform, with a comfortable bedroom area, open air en-suite bathroom and a private veranda where you can sit and admire the spectacular views.
The main area of the camp comprises a dining room, living room and library. Most evenings are spent on the open veranda around the camp fire enjoying sumptuous evening meals. The aim of both Steve and Annabelle is to offer clients a true wilderness experience with comforts not frills, at a reasonable price.
Steve Carey is a well-respected and extremely experienced safari guide and with his team he offers his guests an exciting and diverse adventure. This is a fascinating region and while more traditional safari drives during the day and night are offered, emphasis is placed on getting out and exploring the reserve on foot. Walking with Steve and his team you can put Africa under the microscope, tracking larger mammals on foot and pausing to discover the smaller flora and fauna which are equally as fascinating, but often go unnoticed. If you want to try something a little different you may like to spend a morning rock climbing, take to the river to enjoy fishing and rafting or visit a local Samburu school.
