Set apart from its sister property, Little Mombo is an oasis of privacy and personally attended bliss in a remote corner of the Okavango Delta. Its four tents, connected by raised boardwalks, are nestled among a verdant grove of jackalberry and sausage trees. Beyond your deck, you’ll wake to the sun rising over a thriving floodplain, often with views of zebra, antelope and elephant ambling by. Little Mombo has its own kitchen, lounge and pool so you have everything you need just a short walk from your spacious and private suite.

Mombo is the centre of a successful rhino conservation project. Before going out to find these magnificent creatures, you can enjoy a presentation about the relocation of black and white rhino from South Africa to Botswana. Chief’s Island is home to huge numbers of predators, due to the even more abundant prey species. Lion and leopard abound. Cheetah and wild dog are also common and if you’re lucky, you may spot elusive serval and caracal prowling about.

Game drives here are taken during the day, followed by a delicious bush brunch. Other times you’ll be able to watch wildlife right from the comfort of your bed. Between activities, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in your private plunge pool, or perhaps swim some laps in the larger camp pool. If you’re feeling ambitious, walk across the boardwalks to the main camp to work up a sweat in the gym. Avid photographers will love the photo hub, where you pick up some state-of-the-art Olympus cameras and lenses. Ask your guide how to capture unique animal portraits and they will be glad to help. Feeling lofty? Ask us about an unforgettable helicopter flight above the Delta.

We pride ourselves on crafting the right combinations into a personalised itinerary you will love. Abu Camp is an excellent choice for elephant lovers, as their resident herd will join you for a walk through the bush. Go north to Little DumaTau in Linyanti for another exclusive experience, where higher water levels allow boating excursions. At both Abu and DumaTau you can choose to spend a night beneath the sky in one of their starbeds. Contrast the wetlands with a stay at classic Kalahari Plains Camp to explore sandy desertscapes.
