Your distance from the nearest safari lodge and the location, surrounded by miles of shallow waterways, great expanses of open meadow, woodland and palm fringed islands, makes this a supremely tranquil setting. The nine enormous tents are each set on a raised wooden deck and each has a large bed, safari furniture, an en-suite bathroom, shower and a veranda, providing elevated views of the surrounding country.
There is a pool, where you can relax between game viewing activities, and a very large dining lodge and bar, constructed of local materials and thatch, and you can enjoy the excellent food here or in the evenings you may prefer to do so by one of the open fires under the stars.
Nxabega is located on a 7,000-hectare private wildlife reserve, which means you are free from interruption by other tourists and able to enjoy safaris in this exciting wildlife country, by open vehicle during the day and at night, on foot (must be pre-requested) and by boat and mokoro (dugout canoe). Seasonal fishing adds another element to a stay at Nxabega Camp as do helicopter flights, which are available at an additional cost.
