Comfortable nature-inspired design, inside and out
The organic lines of two rim-flow swimming pools echo those of the watering hole that lies just below. The elevated viewing decks over the watering hole allow guests to view game without even leaving their lodge, and a Swahili-inspired ‘beach’ offers the opportunity for some serious rest and relaxation. The contrast of stone and canvas against cutting-edge design and comfortable furnishings is integrated in eight open style suites and one Villa Suite.
A secluded base to see the Great Migration
The migration passes through Grumeti between April and June, though at all times of the year there are impressive numbers of zebra, antelope, giraffe, elephant, buffalo and other plains game. This is also a favourite haunt of predators including prides of lion, leopard and cheetah. Faru Faru’s expert guides take guests on safari early in the morning and in the afternoon, by open vehicle, seeking out the herds.
A wealth of exciting safari activities
They can also conduct short walking safaris where you can put Africa 'under the microscope' and learn the fundamentals of tracking, going places that the vehicles cannot reach. Other activities include exhilarating horseback safari’s across the plains along with archery, stargazing safaris and mountain biking. Spectacular balloon safaris are also available from the lodge giving you the opportunity to drift silently above the herds and taking in this magical land from yet another fascinating perspective.
