With just twelve suites — two of which are for families — Splash Camp is intimate, with a charming and humble luxury. The main area invites you to relax in the lounge, plunge pool, or on the viewing deck. Here you’ll enjoy family style meals with views of the plains beyond. Breakfast is shared around the firepit in the boma before you depart with your guide for your day’s activities. Travelling with a larger group? We’ll book the exclusive-use Splash Enclave, which is its own satellite main area that comprises several of the suites for a private group experience.

There’s no shortage of things for you to do! If your children are under twelve, we’ll book you your own private guide and vehicle, to enjoy game drives at your leisure. Your guide becomes an extension of your family, taking your children off on adventures around camp while you relax. They’ll learn to identify animal calls, tracks and spoor, create craft projects and even help bake snacks for your next game drive. Depending on water levels, you can enjoy boat cruises and mokoro rides through the wending waterways, watching elephant, buffalo and hippo wallowing about. Why not try your hand at fishing? The mighty Tiger fish is the ultimate catch for avid anglers.

Continue your adventure by combining this watery wilderness with other areas in Botswana. To the north, the savannahs of the Kwando Reserve are the perfect place to spot huge herds of plains game including zebra, wildebeest, and giraffe. Lebala Camp is perfectly situated to see a variety of species. Contrast these two areas further with a stay in the desert. Nxai Pan, near Makgadikgadi, and Tau Pan, in the central Kalahari, both have family suites and invite you to join San Bushmen trackers in search of desert-adapted wildlife.
