For 30 years we have been arranging inspirational travel for our clients across southern and east Africa. Over the course of three decades you inevitably weather many storms, gaining invaluable experience each time.
It is this experience that we draw upon as we support our clients, staff and partners through the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. In our quest to ensure the smoothest sailing, our focus is on maintaining a calmness of mind – cutting out the white noise and listening to the facts.
As we move through the coming weeks and months, we will continue to dream of forests teeming with wildlife, of rich African voices raised in song and the beauty of a sunrise across the savannah. If we are to preserve the opportunity for moments such as these, we must work together to continue to support Africa’s wildlife and wild places through life enriching travel.
With best wishes,
COVID-19 UPDATE - OUR APPROACH
As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to develop on a daily basis, our primary concern is for the safety and well-being of our clients, partners and team members.
Every holiday we arrange is uniquely designed to appreciate our clients’ individuality and we are approaching the current situation in the same way.
KEEPING UP TO DATE
We are closely monitoring travel advice from reputable sources concerning the situation resulting from the emergence of COVID-19. As of 17 March 2020, the advice from both the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and U.S. State Department recommend against all but essential travel worldwide over the next 30 days. In addition, the continued limitation of intercontinental mobility and closure of many country borders is making travel into and out of many destinations significantly more difficult.
We are also in regular communication with our Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and partners around the world, keeping up to date with the situation on the ground in the destinations in which we work.
TRAVEL ALREADY AFFECTED
For those of you who are due to travel shortly and whose plans have been affected by current FCO / U.S. State Department advice, we understand that the messages from media sources can be confusing and we will do all we can to alleviate your concerns by collating information from reputable sources. You will already have been contacted by your personal Travel Designer, who is at hand to work with you to re-arrange your travel plans.
FUTURE TRAVEL ALREADY IN PLACE
If you are due to depart on your holiday in the coming weeks and would like to pre-emptively postpone or rearrange your holiday, please speak with your personal Travel Designer who can discuss the possibilities. Our partners, as always, will work with us to make this as straightforward as possible. It is important to mention that while our partners are offering greater flexibility in the current climate, moving travel (where possible) to a different season or into 2021 and beyond, if official advice to your destination has not changed, this may result in additional costs.
Should your future travel arrangements be affected by COVID-19 we will immediately get in touch with you. In this situation we will work with you to rearrange or postpone your arrangements with as little disruption to you as possible.
PLANNING FUTURE TRAVEL
As we navigate the uncharted waters of the coming weeks, social distancing and self-isolating, we encourage you to find joy and inspiration in travel, cast your mind back to trips already taken, share photographs and stories with each other and continue looking forward. If you would like to speak with a member of our team, either to connect with a friendly voice and share stories of great adventures or to get advice and inspiration for future travel please do give us a call.
Your well-being as you discover the world with us, remains our top priority.
