STONE TOWN

Explore the streets of Stone Town following the trail blazed previously by sultans, slaves and fellow explorers.
As your guide leads you through narrow streets past buildings where history was created you discover the events that shaped Zanzibar’s history to what it is now. You visit sights such as the former Slave Market and Anglican Cathedral, the House of Wonders and the Sultan’s Palace Museum, the Old Arab Fort and Dispensary.
As you trace the footsteps of the past generations, the tour gives you a memorable insight into modern life in Stone Town. You have the opportunity to explore markets as you smell fresh loaves of bread in wicker baskets along with fruit and vegetables neatly stacked beside their stalls. Children play amongst you in residential areas as mothers sit out and gossip whilst the men play board games.
