Location
National Geographic, the BBC, and Nat Geo Traveller all rave about Estancia Rincon Chico, and when you visit you’ll realise why. It’s in the heart of the Valdes Peninsula, and the regional centre for scientific and conservation research. Profits from the lodge support the work of local NGO Conservación Península Valdés (CPV), so when you stay here you’re actively contributing to the vital work which is being done.
Accommodation
The lodge is inspired by an English country house from the 19th century, and you’ll find it’s filled with all manner of historic curios. Power comes from wind turbines and solar panels, and a generator kicks in after dark.
There are just eight comfortable rooms at the property, each of which has an en suite bathroom with bathtub.

Experiences
The Estancia takes safaris seriously, and your walks along the 15km of coastline are led by bilingual biologists and naturalists. These beaches are the preferred breeding and birthing ground for Thousands of sea lions and elephant seals and you may well see Southern right whales from the shore.
