Location
From the island of Santa Cruz, central to the Galapagos archipelago, Isabella II ventures forth on 4 to 6 night routes between beautiful and varied islands. Her mooring locations are chosen to give the onboard adventurers the best possible experience of marine and terrestrial life whilst ensuring minimal impact on these precious places.
Accommodation
The accommodation and public spaces on Isabella II can be found on three public decks. There are just 20 cabins for a maximum of 40 guests; each spacious and spotless cabin has a private bathroom and plenty of storage space for your adventure gear. Safely moored in tranquil waters, you will have a view from your cabin window of the next island experience that your captain and 26 crew have in-store for you.
We love the fact that this vessel is very functional, and with the various cabin options available it can be suited to family adventures. Yes, it has many luxuries and fantastic facilities, but there are no pretentions or mock exclusivity; there are just excellent facilities and a crew who want you go get the most out of a trip-of-a-lifetime.

There are even a couple of computers available for leisurely research and for keeping up with communications.
Meal times in the contemporary dining room (with outdoor terrace) are a highlight, with varied and excellent food on offer in an atmosphere that achieves a great balance between relaxation and formality.

Experiences
- You will love the chance to snorkel in the abundant waters of the Galapagos, but we would also recommend that you take trips in Isabella II’s glass bottom boat. From a place of dry comfort, be prepared for manta rays, turtles and passing penguins.
- As an adventurer, you will probably want to head out in one of Isabella II’s sea kayaks. The staff are able to give the necessary instruction to make sure that such activities are available to all levels of previous experience.
- You will venture ashore, transferred by panga, accompanied by an expert naturalist who can explain the whole scope of the natural history of each island
- From geology, to ecology, to evolutionary biology, sustainability and even cultural history, their knowledge is immense.
- At the end of the day, reflect on your encounters with sea lions, iguanas, giant tortoises, the famous finches and wonderful landscapes as you look up at the magnificent starlit skies.
