Lake Kivu is the sixth largest lake in Africa and the views from the restaurant and most of the rooms are of the shimmering blue waters. The views to the north are equally spectacular with the towering forested volcanic peaks of the Virungas, home to hundreds of species of birds and many primates.

The hotel is of moderate size with 66 air conditioned rooms which include a number of family rooms and luxury suites. For a hotel of this size it has surprisingly good facilities which include two tennis courts, a large pool, a gym and a watersports centre which offers boat trips, snorkelling, sailing and a variety of watersports on the lake.
The town of Gisenyi is close and there are also a number of small fishing communities a short distance down the quiet beach.

This hotel is conveniently close to Kigali and to the gorilla viewing areas of the Parc National de Volcans and is ideal for a relaxing break in peaceful and scenically attractive surroundings, before or after a gorilla watching safari.
