Location
Situated on the Zimbabwean side of the Falls on the edge of the mighty Zambezi River, Ilala is the closest property to the Falls themselves, just a pleasant 20 minute walk away.
Accommodation
The name 'Ilala' comes from the Ilala palms that fringe the Zambezi above the waterfall. With its thatched roof, the lodge blends in well with its surroundings and the interior is both comfortable and attractive.
The decor evokes an era of early adventure and the quest for discovery in Africa. All the guest areas are designed and decorated in colonial style with elegant antiques and unusual prints adorning the walls.

The boutique accommodation comprises thirty-two standard rooms, twenty deluxe rooms in a separate new wing, and four suites.
All are tastefully decorated and have King or twin beds, overhead fans, air-conditioning, satellite television, tea & coffee facilities and en-suite bathroom. The deluxe rooms have a private patio area and magnificent views of the sun rising over Victoria Falls.

There are a variety of activities available from the lodge including game drives by open 4x4 vehicles and cultural visits. For the more adventurous, river cruises, white water rafting and bungee jumping.
