Location
On the banks of the Jongomero seasonal river, Jongomero Camp is nestled in an exquisite setting with perfect views. Enjoying the shade of the surrounding trees, the camp is charmingly remote with a 40-kilometre distance to the closest camp.
Accommodation
The Jongomero camp blends into its superb surroundings beautifully. The camp has ten exquisite suited tents, each with an enormous reclaimed-dhow wooden bed, en-suite bathroom and a veranda at the front with views across the river.
As you sit outside your tent you can expect to see animals and birdlife and beyond the river the plains and forests stretch interminably towards the distant hills.
The main lodge has open wooded terraces and a thatched roof. There is a camp bar offering an ice cold drink and warm conversation, a comfortable lounge and a wonderful dining area where delicious meals are served. All with fabulous views of the river.

As well as an impressive open-air gym room there is a large stone swimming pool, which is in the perfect position to enjoy a refreshing dip with the best views. Visit the curio shop during your stay for a souvenir or two.

Jongomero is part of the Selous Safari Company. They have been investing in the future of Tanzania since the company began in 1988. These causes have been funded by both Selous Safari Company and generous guest donations.
Environment
The camp has been designed to be as eco-friendly as possible without interfering with the guests' experience. This includes using a state-of-the-art solar invertor system and a water filter used for the camp's drinking water.
