Gahinga Lodge is perfectly placed to venture deep into the shadows of the towering Virunga Volcanoes, where the morning mists shroud rare animals and primates. You can trek into the forests in search of the elusive gorilla that have lived in the vicinity of the lodge for hundreds of thousands of years, spotting extremely rare golden monkeys, and also visit traditional Batwa tribal villages to meet the locals.
From each private banda, you wake up to the ethereal views of the montane forest beyond. As you stand on your private porch, with the crackle of an open fireplace in the background, nature will treat you to the glow of a setting sun behind the volcanoes, the howls of monkey in the distance, and the tasty local foods served by your private butler.
