Location
Imagine views overlooking the broadly drifting Zambezi River and stretching beyond to the 2,000 ft peaks of the Rift Valley escarpment. Ruckomechi is an intimate camp with just such spectacular views and situated on a large, private concession within Mana Pools.
Accommodation
Situated at the western reaches of the Zambezi floodplains, ancient forests and wetlands stretch behind the camp, and in front is the massive escarpment of Africa’s Great Rift Valley.
The camp caters for a maximum of 20 guests, accommodating them in 10 luxurious tents, each with its own en suite bathroom and outdoor shower.
Meals are taken in the dining room and there is an open lounge bar, both connected to the rest of the camp by low-level walkways. There is also an inviting infinity pool and a cushion-strewn deck for relaxing under the stars, the sounds of Africa all around you.

Experiences
Game viewing at Ruckomechi Camp is undertaken on foot, by open vehicle during the day and early evening, and by boat and canoe along the many channels and estuaries of the Zambezi River.
You can opt to spend an exciting night on the ‘sleep out platform’ overlooking the Parachute Pan, a haven for wildlife and an excellent spot for stargazing.
