Singita Serengeti House
Location
Grumeti Reserve is the perfect place to witness the fabulous spectacle of the Great Migration, which reaches its local peak from May to July. Thousands of animals are funnelled to crossing points of the Grumeti River, giving awesome photographic opportunities. At other times of the year, there’s still more than enough for an amazing safari experience, including a thriving black rhino population.
Accommodation
The poolside dining area and bar extend on to a terrace, making it the perfect place to watch visiting elephants who come to sip the waters. If you don’t fancy eating outside, there’s also a large indoor dining area where you can enjoy delicious meals prepared to your tastes by your own chef.
Experiences
- The house comes with its own dedicated staff, including a full-time guide with vehicle. You set the schedule and see what you want, when you want.
- Having had enough lazing around in luxury, you should go on a walking safari. There’s no better way to earn the right to return to the pool and a cool drink.
- There are more than 350,000 acres of private bush in the vicinity. You’ll be seeing plenty of animals and almost no other vehicles. If you are here in May to July, the spectacle of the Great Migration is awesome.
- If you fancy using the tennis court for more than its usual game, ask the staff to teach you archery.
- Ask your driver to take you to see the anti-poaching observation posts. Here, you’ll be able to discover the valuable work being done to maintain the balance of the ecosystem.
