Accommodation

Having undergone an extensive refurbishment in 2022, Cape Cagodan is remarkably stylish. There are 29 rooms and suites in total, each decorated in sleek monochrome peppered with touches of greys, golds and emerald green for a few pops of colour. Your rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay, including large king size beds and vast en-suite bathrooms with immaculate, sparkling tiles.

If you’re travelling with a larger group or family, we can arrange for you to stay in the exclusive use, three bedroomed residence. You’ll have your own pool here as well as a housekeeper, butler and even a chef, if you choose, during your stay.
Elsewhere in this charming hotel you’ll find the restaurant, Upper Union, where you can indulge in delicious, hearty meals, served family style, either in the elegant dining room or out on the terrace, basking in the sunshine. Head to either of the hotel’s two pools for a refreshing swim or a few hours’ relaxation poolside.

There’s also a well-equipped fitness centre and an on-site spa which focuses on calming therapies, a wonderful way to cap off a day of exploration in Cape Town.

Alongside a property portfolio, the hotel’s parent company also runs a not-for-profit foundation that supports community projects in areas local to their lodges and hotels. One example of these projects is an education centre in a nearby township. Injongo Educare Centre enrols 146 children, plus 80 further children from other schools who use the after-school programmes.
Conservation

With properties in many more rural areas, the More Community Foundation supports multiple conservation-based initiatives to protect wildlife. Projects MCF contributes to are plentiful with varied goals. The foundation has supported drives to increase wild dog populations, to find solutions for human-wildlife conflict, and to relocate black rhino, to name just a handful.

MCF has partnered with the Frida Hartley Shelter, a refuge for women and children who have been victims of poverty, abuse and neglect. The foundation has been involved with practical improvements to the shelter, including bathroom and kitchen renovations, garden maintenance, and the build of a children’s play area. The partnership has secured access to dental care for the residents as well as a barista training sponsorship programme.
