Hare Uta
“Hare” means home, and this is the ethos of this delightful hotel thanks to its small number of rooms. The 9 ensuite and air-conditioned rooms are housed in three hares connected by wooden walkways over lush lawns. Each hare has a spacious living and dining area, along with an outdoor terrace.
The heart of the hotel – known as the motu umanga - houses the main dining area, the bar, a natural volcanic rock solarium, massage room and the beautifully landscaped pool.
The panoramic views over the lush gardens from the large windows of the Umanga restaurant complement the renowned menu which you will enjoy from the warm glow of both the ambience and also your hosts.
- Dive or snorkel in the crystal-clear Pacific Ocean.
- Horse-ride or hike to the highest point on Rapa Nui for the best panoramic view on the island.
- Get up early and witness the sunrise next to the giant moai heads of Ahu Tongariki.
- Visit a local family to hear about the nature and philosophy of traditional sustainable agriculture.
