In short, all year round. The high season from November to February offers the longest days with up to 17 hours of sunlight, whilst the shoulder seasons of September to October or March to April offer greater exclusivity but shorter days. The winter months of May to August bring in low temperatures with snowy scenes, making for striking photography
Your guide will keep an eye out for signs of puma activity en-route and point out interesting aspects of the Patagonian wilderness rarely observed from a vehicle. The cameras will remain in the field, and you’ll receive periodic updates with the latest footage, keeping you connected to the project long after your visit.
Mirko will introduce you to his work with the Pyrenees herding dogs, known as “livestock guardians”. Raised among the sheep as part of the flock, these dogs develop their renowned protective instincts. You’ll join a field session to observe them in action and witness firsthand how they safeguard the flock.
Finish your day with a sunset game drive back to your accommodation, a prime time for seeing all of Patagonia’s wildlife.
