Location
Nestled between Kenya’s Tsavo West and Amboseli National Parks, and in the impressive shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro, sits Ol Donyo Lodge. This is one of East Africa’s most fascinating wildlife destinations, and the imaginative design of the lodge is a unique addition to the landscape.

Private Villas for Families
No two villas or suites at Ol Donyo Lodge are the same, but they all emerge - seemingly organically - from the landscape either side of the palatial main lodge area. Not only are ol Donyo’s six suites incredibly spacious, they ensure absolute privacy, as a maximum of just 16 guests can be accommodated at any one time.

The villas are spread across the woodland hillside, designed to give every guest waking views over the plains and Mount Kilimanjaro beyond. Your family will stay in a vast, two-bedroom suite, complete with a private starbed and plunge pool built into the deck.

Safari Activities to Suit the Whole Family
Ol Donyo is in an area renowned for ‘Big Tusker’ elephants, whose enormous tusks can reach the length of a full grown man; you can snap incredible photos of them from Ol Donyo’s sunken photographic hide.

Exploring the community-owned conservancy, you have an array of activities to choose from. Explore lava tubes, soar above the plains in a helicopter, and combine game drives, hikes, mountain biking, and horseback safaris for a fully immersive experience.

There’s nowhere else on earth you can canter alongside giraffe, zebra and antelope in the shadow of grand Kilimanjaro!

Great Plains Conservations' Young Explorers programme
Children from five and up will enjoy their own specially-adapted safaris through Great Plains’ Young Explorers programme. Upon arrival, they’ll receive a pack brimming with activity books, word games, bush facts and more, encouraging them to keep a record of their trip.

Your guides tailor each activity to the age and ability of every family member. This ensures that you can share and create everlasting memories together. In your downtime, you may choose to indulge in a massage while your youngsters search for tracks and feathers around the lodge.
