Location
&Beyond has created an extraordinary collection of boutique properties in the Phinda Private Game Reserve, each of which has distinctive character. All six of these exclusive lodges are set in phenomenal locations, from bird-rich wetlands to a dense and mysterious forest.
Accommodation
Each of the six private lodges and homesteads is stunning and unique; you’re encouraged to move between them, from mountain lodges to the forest and wetlands.
For complete seclusion we adore Phinda Vlei Lodge, a retreat overlooking Phinda’s wetlands. Each elegant suite has its own game viewing deck, as well as a private dining area and an open fireplace.

In contrast Phinda Forest Lodge is surrounded by a dense thicket of trees, and as the walls are made of glass you feel very much part of the forest. Antelope walk past and birds twitter in the branches overhead.
Experiences
- At Phinda you can take game drives night and day, exploring the open meadows and bush as well as wetlands and forest.
- Nature walks are possible in the drier regions, and tracking black rhino on foot is a particular highlight.
- Phinda is a paradise for birder; boat cruises give a completely different perspective on the landscape and are a particularly relaxing way to travel.
