Vira Vira
The peaceful Liucura River flows through the hotel grounds, providing a serene ambiance.
With its natural beauty and tranquil setting, Vira Vira offers you an opportunity to relax, explore, and reconnect with nature.
All rooms are built of wood from the native Lenga tree, forming the basis of the warm, sandy colour scheme that is complemented by an eclectic yet tasteful selection of local textiles and curios.
We recommend that you request a suite with its own hot tub with views looking out onto the river outside, though with a number of tubs in secluded spots dotted around the property, there are other options. The hotel also has a spa offering a full range of massage therapies.
The chef will even whip up your favourite meal at your request, and will certainly offer you the chance to taste the hotel’s 9 types of cheese.
After dinner, enjoy a drink around a large open fire whilst sipping from the extensive hotel cellar which houses a collection of fine Chilean wines.
The entire place has a wonderful, sociable atmosphere, so you might well find yourself staying up into the early hours chatting with other guests beneath a view of the red glow of the active Villarrica Volcano.
- Paddleboard or canoe down the Liucara River, straight from the grounds of the hotel .
- Raft the grade III rapids of the nearby Trancura River, or have a more sedate day of fly fishing back on the Liucara River.
- Take a hike to nearby volcanic cave and waterfalls. More adventurous guests may want to hike to the summit of the volcano.
