Location
You’ll find Linyanti Ebony Camp based in an area known as the Chobe Enclave, a large triangular shaped private reserve. Bordered to the north by the wide and winding Chobe River, and elsewhere by Chobe National Park, the area is fed by a permanent flowing waterway and benefits from a diverse and abundant ecosystem.

Accommodation
Built upon raised platforms with unspoilt views of the Linyanti River and its reed-filled marshes, the camp combines simple design with comfort. Authentic yet elegant, it consists of just three classic tents and one luxury two bedroomed lodge, great for families. If there are eight or more in your party, Linyanti Ebony can be booked for exclusive use, providing an even more intimate experience.

Inside each neutral coloured tent a plump bed, cosy seating area and wooden writing desk greet you. Wander through to the en-suite bathroom with twin washbasins, flush toilet and a revitalising rain shower, ideal for freshening up after a day of exploring. The family lodge also benefits from a bathtub, as well as a private deck with views out over the grassy wetlands.
The welcoming main area of the camp is tented too and serves as a lounge, bar and dining room, where the flavoursome buffet and scrumptious set menu meals are served. There is also a substantial wooden deck with an inviting plunge pool to cool off in the heat of the day; a firepit to huddle around and share your stories from game drives; and a hide overlooking a small waterhole, where you can watch the wildlife hydrate undisturbed.

Though wildlife sightings can be had right within the camp, the best way to seek out animal encounters is alongside Linyanti Ebony’s talented guides. Part of the African Bush Camps portfolio, founded by professional safari guide Beks Ndlovu, there’s a real emphasis on top-quality guiding from the well trained and passionate team - most of whom are from communities local to the camp.

Experiences
  • On the waterfronts of the Chobe Enclave sightings of predators, such as lion, hyenas and leopards, and big game, such as hippo, elephant and buffalo, are plentiful. In the dry season, hoards of wildlife are attracted to the permanent waterways.

  • Take a seat in the comfortable 4x4 safari vehicles and explore the grasslands during thrilling morning, afternoon and early-evening game drives.

  • Let your knowledgeable guide lead the search for elusive nocturnal creatures on gripping night drives beneath the stars.
  • Get on your feet for a slow-paced walking safari to learn more about the native flora and smaller fauna that inhabit the area from an expert guide.

  • Soar above the marshes for a scenic helicopter ride, exploring landscapes unreachable by any other mode of transport.

  • Hop into a mokoro (traditional canoe) to drift along the lagoon and try out catch-and-release fishing, when water levels allow.
