Location

Linyanti Ebony Camp is set in a grove of trees on the banks of the Linyanti marshes in an area known as the Chobe Enclave. The Enclave is a large triangular shaped private reserve bordered to the north by the Chobe River and elsewhere by the Chobe National Park. This area is one of the primary big game viewing reserves of Botswana.

Elephant can be seen gathering in impressive breeding herds with isolated males alongside very large herds of buffalo and a good variety of antelope, including the rare sitatunga, sable and roan. Other plains game include giraffe, zebra and wildebeest. The Chobe Enclave is also home to more than its share of predators – lion, leopard, cheetah and packs of elusive wild dog are frequently seen.

Laidback Luxury Safari Accommodation

You will be hard pressed to find a more luxurious or private family safari camp in Linyanti than Ebony. There are just four tented suites, connected to the main lodge by raised walkways. The two bedroom family suite sits apart from the others, ensuring privacy for everyone, and is the only one with a bathtub, perfect for little visitors. If you’re travelling in a group of eight or more, we’ll book you the whole camp exclusively.
The camp is both stylish and comfortable, combining traditional safari tented accommodation with contemporary design. You’ll be under canvas, just like in the early days of safaris, but with a wooden floor beneath your feet and a soft bed to rest in at night. Natural materials are featured throughout, helping the camp blend into its gloriously beautiful surroundings, and creating a welcoming retreat where you can unwind after a day exploring.

At the main lodge, enjoy family-style meals together and watch wildlife play nearby from the deck. The plunge pool beckons on hot, African afternoons. Dip your toes in while the children play, or lay back on a sunlounger and admire the views that stretch over the Linyanti marshes.

A Safari Everyone Can Enjoy

Everyone is welcome at Linyanti Ebony. Specialist guides expertly tailor each activity to the age and ability of your party. One benefit of a private reserve is taking your game drives off road, both day and night, in order to find everyone's favourite animals. Linyanti is renowned for its huge herds of buffalo and elephant, drawn in from afar to the river.

Three to four nights is ideal; not only will this allow you to see everything, but you’ll enjoy a complimentary helicopter flight! You’ll never forget soaring above a galloping journey of giraffe.
