Tawana Landscape
Location
Tawana is set in south-east Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve, widely regarded as one of the very best wildlife havens and most exclusive safari destinations in Africa. This is 5,000 square kilometres of reserve encompassing part of the Okavango Delta, forests and savannah, each providing a habitat for various different species.

Thriving populations of wild dog, leopard and lion can be found in the surrounding area, as well as hippo and crocodile that live in the nearby Gomoti River. Keen birders will be pleased to know that over 400 bird species have been recorded here too.

Accommodation
Each of the camp’s eight air-conditioned suites is wonderfully spacious with a separate lounge and private terrace with a plunge pool and outdoor living area. These beautifully designed suites, all precisely positioned to ensure privacy, offer guests a calm sanctuary in a breathtakingly beautiful natural landscape.

You’ll be underneath the bows of ebony and sausage trees and have unspoiled views over the river and floodplains. Your suite is raised, maximising on the mesmerising views of the grassy riverine landscape, allowing local wildlife to wander freely, and emphasising the feeling that you’re right in the heart of Botswana's wilderness.
In terms of decor, the suites are stylish and contemporary, featuring natural textures and tones, linking the outdoors with your retreat and reflecting the culture of the local Batawana people. You’ll have a large freestanding bath tub where you can take a long, relaxing soak, as well as indoor and outdoor showers - one of the most refreshing ways to start the day! Should you wish to continue your usual fitness routine, each suite has its own weights and exercise bike. There’s also a yoga mat which you can use indoors or move out to the terrace to practise outdoors.
Communal areas are equally elegant and well-appointed. You’ll find many spaces to sit back, relax and enjoy your incredible surroundings. Inside, you can learn more about the Moremi Reserve and the Batawana people in the camp’s carefully curated library, or unwind with a drink in the lounge. There are both outdoor dining areas and lounges where you can gather with fellow guests and discuss your day’s adventures. Come evening, enjoy drinks at the fire pit, warmed by its enchanting flames and accompanied by thousands of sparkling stars in the night sky.
