Chichele Presidential Lodge, South Luangwa, Zambia
The Place: As it happens, many of the luxury perks at the lodge are things that President Kaunda could only dream of because the whole place was totally modernised and transformed in recent times. To put it mildly, the lodge takes comfort to a level that was unknown in the 1970s. Without a time machine, we will never know whether the president would approve. We suspect he would soak in the pool while deciding.
